    [Semi-Fixed] Nyx Assassin's Impale's range is way too high



    Similar how the Pudge's Hook is...

    It can hit enemies that are up to 1002 range afar...
    well...
    It should be only 850 at most

    Aaaaand
    It also can hit enemies that are up to 95 range behind the Nyx...
    which was 50 in DotA


    The generic impale functions in DotA are so... wow
    They really are complicated but doing great work

    I don't really know what happens here in Dota 2; there is a "width" setting set to 125 and a "lenght" setting set to 825...
    No matter how I add things, I cannot get 1002
    but it is 1002 on the positive direction

    And for the negative direction, in DotA, the first searching area is located on 100 units in front of Nerubian Assassin, which has 150 radius, so it is effectively 50 units behind...
    ... and it is 95 in Dota 2, again, I don't know how

    Impale visuals really seem to be more closer to the correct values.

    Also, sincere thanks to the developer(s) who made the imaple visuals of Nyx, they look magnificent:

    i was planning to report this this weekend...
    btw plz also check shockwave, sonic wave etc. some of them is definitely not correct

    ^ Aww... Did I crash your plans? I hate when that happens to me... when someone else posts a bug as I was just about to post it
    I don't really like to pick specific skills, I rather scroll down to a random skill and begin checking stuff from there.
    But since its a new day, I'll break my rules, disobey the Gods of RandomScroll, pick Shockwave myself, and then skip to Sonic Wave

    are you absolutely sure that it is too far?
    ground impales have more range in wc3 dota too.

    please doublecheck impale width too.

    Good job OP you are on a roll.. man so many off things.. and the scary part there been there for so much time imagine how many of them there still out there and we have no clue.

    You needed to be part of the dev team or something.. it's scary the amount of inconsistency with dota 1.. for me that Spectre ulti bug(s) was a wake up call I look at everything with different eyes now.

    I feel that the dev should do something major like from A-Z and check / re-check everything they ported so far and look for this kind of stuff.

    Dev team / core testers etc.. wake up call.

    This makes a lot of sense. Nyx impale always seemed to go way too far in Dota 2, even though I've never played original DotA.
