  • Bots stuck on inescapable cliff/terrain behaviour

Just a lil something i noticed when playing with bots on test build. when bots are stuck on an inescapable cliff/terrain. they will just stay there being dumb and do nothing until the game ends. didnt even try to get out from it. the only solution to this is by giving them a tp scroll(pass it using courier). even so, they wont use it right away. they will only use it after 1-2 min mark prior receiving the scroll

Repro steps : Use vs ulti or fs them into inescapable terrain

Result : as per explain above

Expected result : bot should at least show some initiative to get out from there without player's assistance

    Need fix. thanks

Edit : occured on TEST CLIENT. havent test it on the main client yet

Yeah, this doesn't surprise me. Most bots probably just have complete meltdowns when their pathfinding algorithms tell them it's impossible to go anywhere.

Given that the bots don't know how to use couriers yet, I doubt there's a clean fix at the moment.

If they detect that they're stuck, they should try to TP/blink/force staff themselves out, but they might not always be detecting it properly.

Yeah if they don't have those items, they're kind of screwed at the moment.

maybe you could add the possibility that they eat a way out with tangos when they are stuck near the woods?

^I'd say that's too complicated. It's a nice gimmick, but before time is put into letting bots find the shortest way through a forest (using the least amount of tangoes possible) when even the detection of being stuck is difficult, there are more urgent things to do.

so any plan on fixing that? not that i care since i rarely play bot matches. plus i believe those situation(bot stuck) rarely occur in game. as conclusion, this is a very low priority bug.so i leave it to you to decide.cheers dude

Solution: Use chicken/courier to bring TP. Problem solved.
