I'm under the impression that bots deny more(between 50 and 90 each bot) but are less prone to harrass at normal difficulty in comparison to "unfair".

When pushing, bots won't deny. When farming a lane, they will, so it's possible the bots where just sitting there in farm all game.

I do agree that the denying is a little...aggressive, and we'll probably be toning it down a bit for easier difficulty levels.

That's a topic that doesn't have a conclusive answer. If you push, you want to force the enemies back as far as possible. And the additional damage and tanking is helpful (why do you push with spiderlings? Right!). I understand and agree with your arguments, but they are only one side. I'd say it comes down to player preference.

This topic isn't that important at all. The problem with the bots is not that they don't push enough or with too few creeps is neither major nor does it have a quick fix. So why would you spend time on something that just eats up ressources and has close to no result?

I disagree with OP. I think the amount of denying going on right now is pretty accurate, at least on unfair mode. It's reletively accurate when you're trying to out lane bots on unfair. It just takes a little bit of patience and practice.

Also, the image you have posted in the OP has results which are severly skewed. You've killed the enemy bots off 47 times. It appears they were never in the lane at all. They could not compete with the bots that were in lane. If those bots aren't in the lane competing, then they won't be attemping to get ANY last hits, therefore your bots will deny 100% of the creeps they attempt to deny. Let those bots come back into the lane and you'll see your bots will get a lot less denies.

Furthermore, I don't think that prohibiting bots their right to deny after 10 minutes of laning is a smart idea at all. Post a dumpbots screenshot please. If they don't consider the laning phase done (probably also depends on enemy levels or kills), they presumably won't push.

To me it seems more like what was done in that image caused a bug in the bots AI.
By the looks of those stats it seems more like due to never encountering enemy heroes, the bots got stuck in a 'laning' phase.
I personally haven't ever seen the bots deny when they're set on pushing at least, so the only conclusion I can make it that they never decided to do so.

The desire to deny shouldn't be eliminated, but should be matched against their desire to push, so that if they want to push, they shouldn't deny and should use creep clearing skills and vice versa)

They should deny only during the laning phase so i guess from 0 to 10 minutes and after 10 minutes, they shouldn't deny anymore

Mass denying makes it impossible to push as obviously, it's harder to push without creeps
