Whereas time put into someone like Slardar could be helpful for Brewmaster, Centaur, Magnataur, etc. So it seems that he both has a lot of problems and that fixing them wouldn't be easy or a great use of resources. I'm not gonna argue for removing him or not, or really any specific "solution" at all. I just want to bring up the problem, up to Valve what they want to do

ok I know what you mean, but I doubt that some fixes for Kunkka would have any remarkable effect on the development of other bots.

Yeah, the Kunkka bot was quite a headscratcher for me. Why in hell would we need him? No, really, they could have added somebody else. He's almost worse than the Earthshaker, which is a rather serious insult, because a bot earthshaker is worse than an occasional pub earthshaker.
Heroes this user should seriously reconsider ever picking again.

earthshaker bot is pretty bad, echo slams at the least powerful and most random moments. and manages to mess up blink -> echoslam 4 out of 5 times. he needs to steal some of that code from tidehunter

On unfair difficulty I will agree with this 100%, but yesterday I played an easy match with a friend who is brand new to this game. Earthshaker did in fact use his Echo Slam at weird moments, but he still managed to dominate the match with Echo slam when it came to team fights.
          This ain't ova.

Agree with op. I would recommend removing kunkka bot and replacing it with a Slardar or Lion. Straightforward heroes for whom the code is probably less complicated.

Why in the world would you remove the bot?
I think if anything, use this thread to create some sort of list for the difficulty of creating a good AI for that hero.
There's no need to 'remove' a bot, ever. If they're bad, then just improve them till they're not. Removing them isn't going to make them better.

                ^Exactly.

He will need to get implemented at some point anyways.

Most of the bots that are implemented now are simply based on which heroes we had implemented earliest, internally. Kunkka happened to be one of those, so he got some bot logic. We won't be removing him, but hope to add new bots (at least the straightforward ones) pretty often moving forward.

Also, Kunkka has a "delayed AoE" ability, which is useful to have implemented for a bunch of other heroes like Lina, Leshrac, etc. Not that that logic is great, but it's good to have an implementation shared by all those heroes.
