    Bot Difficulty AI

    Popular Dota 2 Teams AI

    example: Na`vi AI

    Base on their gameplay =)

Just a wild idea from my head

I just think it would be cool to play with their AI anytime i wish, or you can add this to Co-Op Bot Match

    do not flame me pls

Cool idea. OP means to have a team of bots play as if they were a specific team, like Na'Vi, EG, Dignitas, aL, Quantic, etc... It's kind of hard to pidgeon hole a team though, they have to have varying strategies to combat another team's strategies. Unless you mean, they use those strategies.
      This ain't ova.

        I still don't get it.

Do you think pro teams are so predictable and static that you can simulate their strategy by using bots?

Bots in their current state are not even close to competative play, not to speak of the limited bot pool.

It's like the NASA suggesting traveling to another galaxy when they can't even reach the moon.

Exactly. I say you can't pidgeon hole a team. You might know their style, but you'll never know their strategies. The only way these would be accurate is if the teams did them because only they would know how they play in every situation. And they would be subject to change on a constant basis as the metagame changes in such a way.

Tetris is very, very, very different from Dota.

I can't really imagine doing this outside of having the bots pick heroes / item builds that correspond to what that team typically plays. Even then, the time spent on it would be better put elsewhere. There aren't that many people that follow competitive Dota that play bot games rather than games against real players.

I do hope that eventually Valve releases some sort of AI Development kit and we could see tournaments where people pit their Bot AI against each other. AI has always fascinated me, and I'd love to see what people can come up with, and perhaps throw my own hat into the ring as well! Plus if any of the AI is really fantastic, perhaps Valve could add it into the game.

Perhaps a better suggestion is to implement options for generic strategies (eg: pushing strat), which will make bots pick heroes that fit that particular strategy (expanding on that example, bots would pick 2-3 pushers). In-game the bots would then focus on that strategy.

But only after every hero has a bot and assuming bots can vary their team-oriented behaviour in the future.

Not so keen on the OP's suggestion, but I think yours is a good one. It would help teams that find particular difficulties going up against a particular strategy. To use your example, if your team constantly struggles against opponents that push early, doing a bot match programmed to employ this strategy would be a great way of practicing how to deal with it without 1) ruining your ranking (once that's implemented) and 2) embarrassing yourself .
I've never played DotA. I don't care how things were done in DotA. This is Dota 2. This is what I care about.

Agreed, I'd like at some point for an all-bot team to pick a general strategy and tailor things like hero picks and push/defend/gank desire around that.
