    Is there a way to make the outrageous amount of fountain killing that goes on in bot matches a little more difficult to do?

    For instance, I just finished a medium difficulty bot game that had an abandon at the beginning, so there was an inactive lvl 1 bot in the fountain. Eventually a Lina got up there and sat just outside the fountain, farming the vengful spirit bot that was there and since it was respawning almost instantly she eventually leveled up to where the rest of the bots were afraid to leave and she would camp those too. Plus the constant yelling of the announcer got annoying after about the fortieth kill.
    I don't know why but I find it to be in bad form to continuously fountain kill, I understand where it may come into play as a strategic part of the end game but sometimes these bot games turn into 3 or 4 players sitting outside the opposing fountain and killing all the hero bots as they spawn and then the players who are doing what they are supposed to do (destroying the enemy base) get told not to so the fountain campers can keep getting kills.
    It also makes for a too easy game in some instances when a player that is obviously in the wrong difficulty setting goes supernova too soon and just fountain camps, Im in bot matches to practice team fighting and such, not pwn bots, and not easy push lanes.
    Frankly, while I like getting drops, the bot games were a lot better when there were no rewards for playing them.

    Sounds like it prepares people for real games.

    If a bot becomes inactive due to a disconnected player it should be made invulnerable. That would fix the problem with killing an underleveled bot.

    Also this should go in the bots section.

      In a real game could a hero truly sit just outside the range of the fountain defenses and get quick and easy kills?
      I didn't put this in the bot section because I don't think its a bug. It's really more of a mechanics issue or an exploitable glitch perhaps?

        It happens constantly in real games. Just be glad you can't destroy the fountain itself anymore.

          It happens only when one team absolutely crushes the other to the point of defenselessness, and that's only after the game is essentially over (e.g. base has been thoroughly sieged). In OP's problem somebody is farming them earlier for the kills.

            OP, this is more of an issue with bots than with real players. The only time you'll see Matchmaking games where this happens is pretty much when the game is lost anyways.

            Against bots it's extremely easy, even on Unfair difficulty, to just camp outside of the fountain and repeatedly kill. While I am playing Coop with a friend, as soon as people start camping fountain I just start pushing buildings down as fast as possible because the game is over and they're just prolonging it by standing outside of the fountain.

            The main problem with the bots is they don't even assess the region outside of their fountain before they leave it. They just walk out immediately after respawning and get instantly gibbed by the 4 other players camping outside of the tower. I'm working on a longer post with a lot of feedback in regards to much of the bot behaviors that are very bad and awkward and this is one of the most glaring issues.

            Not only is it a big issue in my opinion because players learn absolutely nothing from it, but it's usually inevitable after about 20 minutes into a match, therefore players are constantly not getting anything out of any of the matches due to the fact that they camp severely vulnerable heroes as soon as mid game happens. It's going to happen as soon as your team pushes into the enemy base.
            This ain't ova.

                It should be easy to make bots invulnerable when they're deactivated due to a human disconnect.

                  That's not the only issue though. Basically every Bot Game is someone balling out of control, then just running past 3 towers into the enemy fountain to keep farming the bots - be they disconnected or not - because of several issues (Bots run out of the fountain one by one, Bots don't attack someone standing in front of the fountain but just run out till at 10% life - then turn around, Bots leave the fountain in the first place when they're 10 levels below some guy standing in front of it, etc).

                    Thanks for responding to this, it gets annoying trying to practice and having someone that is (probably) screwing around ruin it for the rest of the team.

                      I recently had a game where I had 4 leavers, and I had the pleasure of playing a super-farmed gyrocopter. Man... it shouldn't have been that satisfying.

                      Well if we get invulnerable idle bots, would it be possible to fix the problem of spawn camping active bots being so easy? If you somehow get behind enemy lines, it is possible to pick the bots off easily one by one (provided you get there at a time where they aren't strolling out of the base as a unit). squinte made some good suggestions about the bots assessing the region outside their spawn. Another possibility is the bots perhaps gaining some sort of advantage when close to their fountain, or maybe only on Hard-Unfair difficulties.
