But the 30 sec delay remains?
I mean. Try it. Try to wait 30 seconds, right now, before you do anything else.

Why is there a 30 second wait for bots? I can understand 10-15 seconds to give Humans a chance to pick up the hero they want first, but 30 seconds seems like a really long time when waiting to see what the lineup is going to be!
+1 on picking heros near-instantly (a couple of seconds delay for misclicks perhaps) when suggested, I've had the enemy team pick up my suggestions before just because my bots waited too long.

Well, if you're thinking about counter-picking, you should no longer play against bots, you're not a newbie anymore...

Ah right, sorry. I waited a bunch of seconds and assumed they just waited for you.
Still, 30 seconds is a lot. Newbs like me might not even consider counterpicking when practising and when they do, might make the same assumption I made.
I'd propose that they start picking one by one after 7-8 seconds or so. Possibly with a force repick option if you're worried about bots picking the player's favorite hero or whatever.

The bots only start picking heroes after 30 seconds, but after that they'll pick regardless of players so this thread isn't correct.

[Suggestion]Bots picking before human
I noticed that in a bot game, the bots wait for you to pick a hero.
I was wondering why? Wouldn't it be good for new players to learn/try counterpicking?
Especially because it's one of the few ways to compensate for an otherwise losing lineup.Tags: None
