  • Various difficulties for individual bots

It'd be nice to be able to designate which difficulty of bot would be which suggested hero. So you could give the carry extra gold/xp, for example. At least in custom games, if not co-op.

That'd be a pretty complicated ui feature. Might be easier to make it so the highest difficulty bot pick suggested heroes first, that way you just need to make sure you suggest carries first

You've probably got a good point there, and it seems like it'd be easier to implement the way you suggested too.

That'd fix it for your own team, at least. In the event you wanted to give an opposing all-bot team's carry the highest difficulty, you'd still be unable to do so. What I had in mind, was essentially how you can click a player's avatar at the top in-game, you'd be able to do so for picking/suggesting. Maybe that's harder to do than I imagined, or just not worth the effort for such a feature. I'm not even sure if being able to customize an all-bot enemy's team is something they even want possible or not, perhaps what I'm really going for here is half a 'let me pick the enemy's team composition' suggestion.. If ever available, again that may have to be restricted from co-op and more of a custom game feature.

If/when bots get smarter about how to (counter)pick and balance their teams, then I'd say your suggestion definitely seems the way to go for your own team, and that in general the bots should just give their higher priority heroes the higher difficulties when available.

At this point in the bot's development, it's hard to say the best way of adding the feature for the long-term, as it depends a bit on how a variety of other things turn out, I think.

      Anyways, thanks for the suggestion!
