  • Predictable bots behaviors

It became quite obvious after many games with bots.

My friends complained that the bots are always those few, particularly:
    - Kunkka
    - Earthshaker
    - Tiny
    - Vengeful Spirit
    - Lina
    - Windrunner
    - Tidehunter
    - Crystal Maiden

    Rare few occasions they pick:
    - Ancient Apparition
    - Drow Ranger

It's quite frustrating that we're always playing against those few standard bots with the same strategy.
Bot's team doesn't seem to fail to consist of a few stunners, if not all stunners.

    Furthermore, bots are quite predictable.
During level 1 or 2, they will start to go in for the kill.

They walk pass their creep line towards me and my friends (it's always predictable).
Chases us to our towers, we disable/stun/shackle them, we get first blood.
On the other hand, if they managed to survive the towers, all we have to do is get boots as starting item and we'll be able to chase them and kill them.

When any towers is left with 1/4 or 1/3 of it's life, we'll see message: "Pushing bot/mid/top"
and we can also expect enemy's bot to defend that particular tower.

In conclusion, I hope after Valve is close to polishing Dota 2 Matchmaking and other important features and hero rollouts.
They would put some effort into the bot's AI dynamics.
Unpredictable = more fun and more rewarding.

You realize that coding bots is a hard task?

They started out with 10 Bots so they can let them play games to analyze their behavior. More bots will come as soon as the general behavior is good enough.

We'll be adding more hero bot implementations over time -- right now it's definitely pretty limited.

Good info on their early game predictability.

my biggest gripe is when tiny bot goes solo mid, then tries to gank bot at lvl 1 leaving their mid to free farm.

Yes, I do know it's a hard task coding AI for bots. I'm a programmer myself.
Therefore, I did mention in my concluding statement that I hope bots will be improved only after all higher priority tasks are done.

Thanks for the reply just giving some feedback regarding the predictability.
