  • Bot's movement speed

I'm pretty sure the displayed number of their movement speed mostly just does not fit reality. They are moving faster.

I do not complain. It is ok. They are supposed to be unfair and I like the challenge. Teammates of mine are often bigger challenge than that, but it is different story

I'm just asking to show always real value - constant bonus speed of 5% for bots or whatever else it is.

I guess there is no doubt they really are moving faster than displayed value. But I add 2 "proofs" as well. Just descriptions, it is not worth for me making a video proof.

    1) the bot can flee even if u start from same location while you (player) have bigger movement speed. I know the game very well, while chasing the bot I can click on him and check his MS. I recognize phase boots as well. You can have 350 MS, the bot has for example 340 MS and he will escape. I am no newbie, I can move skilfully, it is no "logistic" issue. They just run faster and that's it.

    2) You can see bots chasing a hero. They are doing it all the time. It's funny. But do you know what? They are all moving the same speed. Nobody stops. They do move fluently and as one man. The only problem is, their displayed movement speed are different. Most ridiculous case is being chased by one "superfast" hero like Krobelus or Razor followed by slower hero as Dazzle or Zeus. In this case even newbie will notice there is something wrong.

As I said, I do not think it's "wrong". But I would prefer fair values. Let say unfair bots have higher mana regen, health regen and "some" (add value) bonus movement speed.

I don't think, you are correct. I have no issues to catch up usually, if it's not Razor/Luna or some other 100m runner. And talking about the 5-man mad-dive: the biggest issue is that the WILL get seperated, so you can pick them off one by one like apples from a tree.

Yesterday 315 ms lich without boots run away from two 365 ms heroes (with boots of speed) like np. Another game bots atacked to fog. Really fog. Friend of mine has been watching the game as spectator with 2 min delay, so he was prepared to the weird situation and confirmed there was a fog of war....

Now I see why there is no bot replay. No matter the size, but for now is hard to prove how much does bot cheat :-) Dont get me wrong, I like them being unfair, but add all their "improvements" to the decription of unfair difficulty...

I can say that today I was playing with Phantom Assassin at level 1, so no boots, 310 ms running in a STRAIGHT LINE, not even auto-pathing, just a straight line, and was chased down by a Sven bot (295 ms). At level 1, there is absolutely no chance of anyone having any weird bonuses, and he didn't have boots, not that bots buy boots at lvl 1 anyway.

So I can absolutely confirm that this is the case on unfair difficulty. An unconfirmed incident, because I didn't check his movement speed at the time, was a razor running away from me as Bloodseeker while lvl 2 thirst was active, and no I did not cast anything on him. I don't know what his movespeed was, but I know from experience that Bloodseeker can chase down Nighstalker at night if thirst is active, so razor should be no problem at all.

Are you sure Sven didn't just have Warcry active? That would boost his ms to 330, more than enough to chase you down. Personally I've never had a problem with chasing down bots on unfair difficulty, and this includes playing slower heroes like invoker.

He was lvl 1, so the only ability he had was his stun, unless unfair bots get 2 skill points at lvl 1.

I think carries tend to get drums of endurance which significantly increase movement speed (or I could just be mistaken since necrolyte always pops his buckler while chasing, it's a similar sound effect). Either that or you're just so afraid of that scary 5 man gank they tend to pull out of their asses that it seems like they're moving faster. Maybe their determination makes them seem faster! D:
