  • Possible reason for mad dive

    Most of the posters on this forum are familiar with this issue I guess:

    Bots are leading in kills, hmm could be a challenging game this time, then they spasm out and chase you (or other human players) from the mid tier 3 tower into your own base (at 10 minute mark or so), tanking tower hits (tunnelvisioN) like a boss. Then your team shows up and kills them easily 1 by 1.

    Game of Throws at it's best.


    It has been said often, but not often enough I guess:

    Please fix this completly illogical behaviour, it is gamebreaking and it turns close games into complete no-fun slaughterfests.
    Lower their desire to chase, it is necessary.

    From what I observed, they mostly chase human players, but rarely ai controlled heroes too.


    A friend of mine observed, that they mostly chase like retards when Necrolyte is on the mad-diving team.
    Maybe bots overestimate his healing power and therefore are not scared of tower hits?


    I will keep an eye on Necrolyte and bots chasing behaviour, but until then you might take into consideration that Necro makes them do this weird stuff, if you are still working on fixing the diving issue.

    At least they don't run into the fountain anymore every second game.

    I think the main problem is that they don't use any abilities while chasing. For example, I get chased by a group of bots, in this group are Sven and Tidehunter, both have enough mana for Storm bolt/Gush, yet they just run at me instead of using those abilities.

      Yeah, that increases the problem. Sometimes the bots save their stuns for ks, its pretty lame

        It seems that heroes with single target abilities try to get a hit in before using their spells on you. I have seen this with Skeleton King, Tide, Sven, Venge, but never with Lina, Kunkka or Sand King.

            Venge and Chaos use their abilities on me if I try to run away.
            But there are some patterns regarding their illogical decisions.
