There is an exploit that players owning the Compendium - well, at least the Russian ones - seem to be using extensively for the last couple of weeks. They use certain high ground spots in a passive bot match to get exp from creeps while staying afk, eventually getting account experience and items. There also seem to exist some variations and tactics regarding what heroes to pick and what lanes to push\control. Googling it (well, in Russian) gives plenty of results for steam group invites and even guides on the SteamCommunity forum. Some guides even cover how to do it solo having 5 dota accounts. It looks like this exploit had been used before as well, but it became more relevant with the Compendium battle bonuses.
    Some match ID: 204892875, 204468048. 205460510 - 6h25m ~1800exp on account.

I'd rather play some games in that time and actually have fun while getting items.

      Who cares...

Its not like they hurt anyone if they're doing it in a 5 man stack.

Let them waste their time and move on.

Not that I really care but: They're not wasting time, they're just getting free items.
It's in Valve's best interest to stop them, both for the sake of server usage and item price inflation.

No, they are playing bot games. You can see they farmed items.

And they decide to drag the game for about >3 hours.

Me and tons of other co-op players are doing that too, to a certain extent (fountain farming bots, not ending the game).

How can that be against the rules?

You're actually at your keyboard, going from the OP, they are not. There's a clear distinction here.
You're saying that AFK servers on TF2 are alright, and they clearly aren't.

Actually I didn't say anything about TF2, I never played this game.

Judging from the match id the OP provided, they clearly haven't been afk the whole time since they farmed some items.

I suppose they just went highground and afk(?) defended there with farmed sniper.

The bots must be in a pretty sad state when they can't even rax down afk players. I guess and easy fix would be to disable items drops for passive bots (who would play a serious co op match versus them anyways)

                +1 for this idea.

It should be the same as CS:GO achievements, no progress saved for playing against passive bots.
