    Expected Resut: Illusory Orb should not prevent neutral creeps camps from spawning.

    This seems to be quite useful for offlane Pucks..

    If it wouldn't take so much mana.

    And if offlane Puck would be any good.


    E: or wait... Maybe it's intended? I don't know.

    Sacred Arrow and Rocket Flare block them too.

      Agreed, that could be intended. In DotA, that's not possible since custom spells use dummy units (with locust ability) as projectile, so they cannot be detected by unit group function. I don't know how projectiles work in Dota 2... oh well.

      Edit: Rocket Flare also block neutral creep camps in DotA.

        Just to clarify, rocket flare only blocks it if the projectile is over the camp at the minute mark. The vision granted once the flare has exploded doesn't block.

          Unit group function can detect units with Locust.

                True, It does. In fact, I expressed myself wrongly... Sorry!
                However, the only enum functions that pick up locust units are GroupEnumUnitsOfType and GroupEnumUnitsOfPlayer. And that method would be less efficient than normal grouping functions. Besides I don't think IceFrog uses that method for every AoE ability and/or neutral creep camps.

                  Icefrog uses GroupEnumUnitsInRect() for Neutral spawns, as you may have guessed. However, he does have an [A0P4] "Marker Allow Neutral Spawn" ability to filter out units that permit Neutrals to spawn, as well as excluding Broodmother's Spin Webs, Earth Spirit's Stone Rocks, and couriers by ID. Illusory Orb avoids grouping due to [Aloc] Locust.
