  • [Confirmed] Severe Multicast stacking issue (multicasts canceling each other out)

Surprised that this hasn't been found earlier. Ogre Magi's multicasts cancel each other out. If you get multicasts with both of your Fireblast, they will always end exactly at the same time.

It should be easy to fix, since it is the common "modifiers not stacking with themselves by default" bug, which was fixed many times for individual spells in the past (arc lightning, fade bolt, lightning storm, purifying flames, flux, etc)

    1. Pick Ogre Magi, level up Fireblast, Ignite and Multicast and get Aghanim's Scepter
    2. Cast Fireblast on an enemy and hope for at least a 3x Multicast
    3. Immediately cast Unrefined Fireblast on another unit
    4. Observer what happens with the multicast on your first target

Result: As soon as the multicast on your first target finishes, the second multicast on your other targets canceled at the same time. Pay attention at the overhead floating text. On the second target, it stops at x1 MULTICAST.

When using ent_text, you can see that Multicast places a modifier on Ogre Magi. This modifier does not stack, so every multicast you do will use the same modifier and therefore all ongoing multicasts will end simultaniously.

Expected: Each multicast should place its own separate modifier on Ogre Magi. Multiple instances of modifier_ogre_magi_fireblast_multicast should fully stack.

This also goes for Ignite's multicast. If you cast Ignite twice and both get multicast, they both will use the same modifier and end at the same time. Although this is quite rare (refresher ogre??), but it's the exact same bug so I mention it here as well.

In the first video, you can see how the 2nd fireblast's multicast doesn't go beyond 1x. Same with 2 Unrefined Fireblasts.
In the second video, you can see the same with Ignite.
In the third (most mattering version), you can see how the multicast of Unrefined Fireblast gets canceled by the multicast of the red Fireblast

    What about Bloodlust?

Bloodlust multicast is instant, no duration/interval.
