    I am 99% sure this is a bug but regardless I'll air on the side of caution. As it currently stands, it seems that although the disable duration is 5(6) seconds, the disabled hero is only damaged for 4(5) ticks (same goes for the mana steal).

    Plz confirm or deny

      sure whatever. Can someone look at this? It makes a big deal once he hits 6, reducing his kill threshold from 600 to 525 from grip+sap

          I've noticed that the last tick of Fiend's Grip does not do any damage. I don't have Dota 1 with me at the moment, but someone should check and see how the ticks were calculated there.

            Lvl1 deals 75 DMG/Sec to a 25% Magic resistance unit (every hero) No aghanims.
            Lvl2 deals 116.250 DMG/Sec to a 25% magic resistance unit (every hero) no aghanims.
            Lvl3 deals 161.250 DMG/Sec to a 25% magic resistance unit (every hero) no aghanims.

            Each spell deal 5ticks. meaning 75/116.25/161.25 * 5
            dealing a total of:
            LVL1- 375 Total damage
            LVL2-581.25 Total damage
            LVL3-806.25 Total damage.
            -----------------------------------------
            AGHANIMS UPGRADED DAMAGE-
            Lvl1- 6*116.25 = 697.5 DMG
            Lvl2- 6*161.25 = 967.5 DMG
            Lvl3- 6* 202.5 = 1213.5 DMG

            Note: this were dota1 tests.

            I can't test dota2 right now, but if someone test then post the results here.

              confirmed op's glitch. Seems to tick only 4 times.

              I use fiend's grip on a creep, without hero magic resistance. It should tick 5 times, for 500 damage.
              You can see in the video it only ticks 4 times for 400 damage. Looks like last tick deals no damage.

                This should be copied in the sticky and moved to the Gameplay Bugs section then. It's a pretty major bug to be missing one full tick. Also, in Dota 1, does Aghanim's add one extra tick since its duration is increased from 5 to 6 seconds?

                EDIT: Aghanim's does add an extra tick in Dota 2. It's just that the last tick does not do any damage for either the normal or upgraded Fiend's Grip.

                    Is there any chance that this bug will get fixed next patch?

                      Actually, it should deal the missing tick exactly when its cast and not in the last second. That is the way it happens in dota 1.

                        EDIT: It was fixed on Test Server, but it's bugged on Regular still. Weird.

                        Just double checked again, and it's bugged on Test Server too. I know for sure I tested 5 ticks and 6 ticks (with Aghanim's) in one of the first Test versions. Perhaps it got removed in a later update.
