  • [Confirmed] Tower target acquisition Range

    Hey guys,

    I am not pretty sure, if I am right but it feels like the tower range in DotA 2 is higher than in DotA 1. I think this comes with a simple program mistake. Here's a video. I think everything is explained there.



    I hope you get what I mean. It is just a little mechanic bug, I think, but as an experienced dota player it is annoying.

      Err...i'm not sure. this could just be the new feature...maybe too subtle i'd say.

        so thats, why i cant quickly shake off the aggro and reenter towerrange, when diving with allies.

          Ye you got it. Actually it is pretty bad that you can not shake off the aggro due to this. I think new players don't get this, but expereinced players are noticing this strange

                yes i noticed this as well, though u can compensate until the tower changes it's target, still make u lose some precious time to attack the tower though

                            What I noticed was rather instant attack (while in dota1 tower have some animation before hit) than more range (cause sniper with level 3 take aim can still outrange tower)

                            Edit: my bad, i didn't read till the end, but i would say, difference between range and aggro range.
                            Edit2: imo it is still have to do with instant attack with no animation, without creep, tower attack at you directly you reenter the range. While creep where there, getting out of tower range, removed the aggro. Imo it's what happened, and since there's no attack animation to longer the time of first hit it seems weird
