  • [Confirmed] Death Pulse + Astral Imprisonment/Disruption

    In Dota1 if an ally is being followed by Death Pulse from Necrolyte and the ally is astral imprisoned/disrupted, he will get healed nonetheless.

    In Dota2 this doesn't happen. The ally doesn't get healed.

    Thoughts on this? Should it be changed as in Dota1 or not?

    imo dota 2 should follow dota 1, so yes, more like a bug part on dota 2

          Not affecting hidden units would make more sense. The trigger in Dota 1 is quite simple and old, and just checks the distance between the pulse and the target, and heals/damages it when it comes close.

          Still, fixing it would be easy in Dota 1 if it wasn't intended. Would like to hear more thoughts on it.

            I remember this as one of the dota1 mechanics that always puzzled me(i really wanted to dodge that chasing pulse when i was low hp),so I thought this was intended in dota2.I mean hidden is hidden,you don't see the original panda taking this dmg while/heal ulting(im speaking of dota 1 ofc).

                good point, but isn't this can be considered both mechanic fix and gameplay suggestion? though i don't really mind whichever one got changed

                    i'll post it here, cos it's about the same heroes. I ultied with necrolyte a hero that got astral imprisoned and didn't get the damage from the ulti. Should it work that way?

                        Yes, this particular scenario is intended. When in AI, the target is invulnerable, except to Outworld's ultimate.

                          I moved it to the main section because I already added it to the sticky. If however the devs consider it as intended then we will just simply remove it from there.

                            It is not hard at all to code it in DotA to work the same as it works in Dota 2 so it is obviously not intended.
