Broodmother slows while silenced

Summary:
In dota 1, broodmother passive slow didnt work while silenced by whatever silence spell. It dota 2 broodmother continues to slow while silenced. I am not sure if it is intended or bug, i didnt find it in sticky topics.

Repro:
1) Pick bloodseeker and broodmother, levelup silence and slow (or create enemy hero with silence, w/e)
2) Use bloodseeker's silence on brood
3) Attack something with brood

Result:
The target is slowed

Expected:
Target is not slowed, because bm is silenced.

Idk, probably intended? Silence doesn`t affect passive skills unless it comes from Doom.

silence does disable the passive orb in dota1...
but i feel this might just be a fix

i changed it to "needs testing".
if it's the way you say in wc3 dota, i would take this as an intended fix though.

I played hundreds of game of brood in dota (and like 50% of them were bite brood -so no spider-), and i never noticed it ^^ so imo it might not be intended. I think it was a pretty unknown fact

at some older versions magina mana burn was disabled while silenced, now it oly gets disabled by doom
so there maybe an inconsistency between these two passive orb-based spells, one getting disabled and other not

broodmother's passive is physical nothing to do with magic. There's are 5-12 or so magic spells in dota here that deal physical then magic damage. Thus aren't affected by silence or mute etc...

If you go back to dota-allstars forum and look it up. There's a few I can't name right now. It's not a bug.

that is just wrong.
neither poisonous touch nor shadow wave are usable while silenced.
please dont post false information.

in dota there's 2 types of spells. Physical & magical. phyical spells don't get affected by silence. The only one I can think of besides broodmother is. Tiny's Craggy exterior? They are called passive for a reason. Silence doesn't stop Slardar's bash, doesn't stop the item vladmir from life stealing etc...

Seriously Dota 6.xx on warcraft 3 should be a requirement for people before playing dota 2.0.
