    add-dit#2:
    Summary: units following a target are only moving to the units position rather than mirroring the units attack behaviour.

    Repro:
    1. pick lycan
    2. summon wolves
    3. issue a follow command with the wolves on your hero
    4. attack neutrals with your hero

    Result:
    the wolves will follow you but not participate in the fight

    Expected Result.
    The wolves should attack whenever the unit they are following is attacking something. whenever the unit they are following stops, the normal autoattack logic should apply to them.

    Summary: Select familiars, then make them follow Visage. When Visage stops moving and moves again, the familiars just stay in place where Visage stopped (instead of following him again like in WC3).
    This is irritating for me since when I use summon familiars I just select them then right click on Visage so that they always follow him and makes for easier management.

    Repro:
    1. Level up Visage to level 6, then use Summon Familiars.
    2. Make Visage away from the familiars.
    3. Select Familiars, then right click on Visage to make them follow.
    4. Stop moving Visage, then wait for familiars to catch up to him.
    5. When the familiars reach up to Visage and stop moving, move Visage away again.

    Result: Familiars will not follow Visage when he moves again.

    Expected: Familiars should always follow Visage even when he stops and moves again.
    add-dit: following units should also mirror the targets attack behaviour.

      I think it also applies to Chen's and Enchantress' converted units, I'm gonna check now.

        Checked, it applies to Chen and Enchantress converted units, and units that were converted through Helm of the Dominator.

        EDIT: With further checking, it looks like the follow command is bugged. Same happens when I use a hero to follow another hero or unit.

            No clue what you mean, I put my summons, enchants/persuasions/dominations and last night, my familiars on follow all the time. Worked perfectly fine, they were following me the whole way.

            Got a match ID?

                    i think, i was a bit too quick to add this "bug" to the sticky.

                    (the following units not mirroing the targets attack behaviour still applies though)

                      @lunatic3k Yes.

                      EDIT: So it looks like the reason it wasn't following me because I had dota_force_right_click_attack 1 on my autoexec.cfg. Sorry for giving off a false alarm.

                      But I can confirm that followed units do not mirror the targets attack.

                        I too use dota_force_right_click_attack 1, but I think the behavior should be changed. If you target allied heroes and units (not creeps) it should assign a move/follow command.

                        I always have to click-move with familiars, summons and converted neutrals, and that is really annoying. But I really like to deny lane creeps with right click. (Just for information, you can't deny heroes with right click even if this option is on, so I don't know why the desired behavior (follow heroes / controlled units) can't be applied.

                          [Duplicate] Following AI not the same as DotA 1

                          In DotA 1. After you command any unit to follow another ally unit, when other enemy unit come near, around 200 radius of that ally unit, your unit will try to attack that enemy

                          In DotA 2 is missing this feature. And to control Image unit is harder. Please give back this feature for AI

                          This is very important for Phantom Lancer
