  • [False] Mixed damage vs Undying's tombstone and zombies

Several issues with composite damage types not damaging Tombstone and zombies.
I am assuming that zombies are magic immune creeps and Tombstone is a building.
I can not confirm this as I do not have Dota 1.

    Repro Steps:
    1. Have enemy Undying cast a Tombstone.
2a. Cast Acid Spray as Alchemist.
2b. Cast Diabolic Edict as Leshrac.

    Result:
3a. Zombie will receive the minus armor, but no damage.
3b. Zombie will receive damage, but not the Tombstone.

    Expected Result:
Zombies should be damaged by Acid Spray; Tombstone should be damaged by Diabolic Edict.
As broken as it sounds, Wild Axes and Diabolic Edict damage zombies properly, so why isn't Acid Spray?

I don't know about edict, but Spray is not supposed to damage them.

Incorrect, acid spray could instantly kill all the zombies in wc3.

First of, zombies are kind of magic immune creeps, but the tomb stone has the type: ancient, summoned, with magic immunity and marker as spell ability (though it seems to have some building properties too).

second, the results are exactly as in Dota 1. Acid Spray only reduces armor of zombies, but doesnt damage them and it doesnt affect teh tombstone at all. Edict damages zombies but doesnt affect the tombstone.

Reason why the tomstone is not affected is the marker ability, reason why acid spray doesnt work were possibly balance considerations in d1.

@youlackhatred at least test it, acid spray is an exception and doesnt damage zombies

Zombies were intentionally made immune to Alchemist's acid spray since it resulted in a couple of hundred extra gold for Alchemist per tombstone with leveled Goblin's Greed.

Edict not working on Tomb is unintuitive, but that's how it worked in DotA 1 afaik so there really isn't a bug at hand in Dota 2, but a potential suggestion for playdota (making edict work on tomb).

PS: It's mixed damage, where does composite damage come from? HoN or LoL?
