  • [Intended]Allied Amplify Damage is not getting removed if Purged/Cycloned by an ally

    NOTE:

    Although this post was initially written only regarding the Amplify Damage (Slardar), this issue applies for probably every single purge-able buff.
    I have myself tested;
    • Torrent (slow)
    • Amplify Damage
    • Track
    • Repel
    • Leech Seed (slow)
    • Drunken Haze
    • Life Break

    I don't want to test every single spell one by one. I am yet to see any contradicting case. If there is any, please drop a reply under this thread.
    Until then, I would like to report that;
    • On W3 DotA every removable and purge-able spell is removed by Purge/Cyclone regardless of the team of the source.
    • On Dota 2 it only removes them if Purge/Cyclone was applied from someone on the opposite team of the source of the purge-able buff in question.

    Summary:

    Amplify Damage should get removed by both the Purge (Diffusal Blade) and the Cyclone (Eul's Scepter of Divinity) no matter if it was cast by an ally or an enemy.
    Currently it only gets removed only if they are cast by the victim's team.

    Reproduction Steps:
    1. Pick Slardar
    2. -createhero anything enemy
    3. -item item_cyclone
    4. -item item_diffusal_blade
    5. Cast Amplify Damage to the anything
    6. Cast Eul's Scepter of Divinity to the anything
    7. Re-cast Amplify Damage to the anything
    8. Cast Diffusal Blade to the anything

    Current Result:

    Amplify Damage is not removed.

    Expected Result:

    Amplify Damage should get removed.

    This is why you cannot slow down an Amplify Damage'd Riki with a Diffusal Blade on DotA...
    Not literally; you can, but you will lose vision, if you have no back-up detection.
