    As title.

    The "Fresh Meat" sound effect should only be heard by players if they have vision of Pudge. As long as they have any sort of vision of Pudge, the "Fresh Meat" sound plays regardless of distance from Pudge, but if Pudge dismembers a neutral in fog, for example, the "Fresh Meat" sound should not play for the opposing team. This is important because often Dismembering Roshan will give your team away to the other team.

    I don't think this is related to all the other sound issues since I bet Valve set "Fresh Meat" to play outside of the normal map sound system.

    Same thing happens in dota1. I don't think anyone really knows why but that's how it is.

      Nope. Go check in DotA 1. If Pudge is in fog, you won't hear "FRESH MEAT".

        I thought you could hear pudge when he ulted creeps and roshan even in the fog.

            It's true. Dismember is just based on Aerial Shackles with no other triggers, so the sound clip isn't triggered. It's just considered to play loudly enough to hear from the whole map.

            If you have the test map:
            1. Make a Pudge
            2. -control to have all players grant you control
            3. Select the pudge and -owner 7 to give him to Pink player
            4. -fog to remove fog
            5. Target Dismember on a random neutral creep that Pudge has to walk a distance to reach
            6. -fog again to enable fog

            The "Fresh Meat" clip won't be heard.

              could this possibly be a testmap bug?
              i remember pretty well to be able to hear fresh meat globally.

                It's heard globally, but it won't play if you don't have vision of Pudge.

                If you need to test it on a non-testmap I could probably help you sometime, but [A0FL] Dismember is based on [Amls] Aerial Shackles, which provides all of the effects, including the sound. No triggers run on its cast. Therefore, its "Fresh Meat" sound follows the same hearing rules as all other spells with non-triggered sounds, just with global hearing radius. This means it only plays when Pudge is visible to the player through any vision.
