    When a hero has Word of Power on them in DotA1 it can be denied. According to the DotA2Wiki this is not the case in DotA2.

    Do you mean Warlock's Shadow Word?

    For ease of access, here is what OP is referring to:

    • A hero affected by Shadow Word may be denied once it falls below 25% of its maximum health.

      Afair, I did deny a hero with Shadow Word on him in Dota 2.
      Dota2Wiki is neither complete nor official by any means.

          btw, if you casted a shadow word on a low hp ally, you could also deny him
