SotS and Doom

  • SotS and Doom

    I noticed something in a game: when Naga plays her song (while a hero was ulti-ed by Doom), that hero recovers HP.
    Now I know that Doom is supposed to disable items and deal DOT, but I am curious is SotS should disable doom's item\ability muting.

      Song of the Siren should make Doom stop dealing damage to the affected unit for its duration. It shall not disable the silence from Doom.

          what is the bug? doom doesnt disable item heals.

            If you're saying Perseverance or Mekansm still work while doomed, sorry, but I disagree.
            I am not sure if the hero regen (STR * 0.03 i think) still works, but everything else should be disabled.

              what do u mean by "i disagree"... of course the regen from perseverance and mek works during doom.

                  Some work, some don't. Look at the 5th link in my signature (it's a bit outdated. It disables some more passives now. Check the lastest changelog).

                    Well... Apparently it's meant to disable str and int-based HP/Mana regen, IIRC... But even things like heart should probably work under doom if you're affected by SOTS...

                        So basically not only is Doom's interaction with some passives funky, but SotS is debatable too (at least according to the above conflicting posts)

                        Would this be proper to test vs D1 or is there an engine limitation obstacle ? That is, would any D1vsD2 differences be intended, I wonder ?

                          the thread is a bit outdated. u cant 100% trust it, but it's a good guidline. that's it. doom SHOULD NOT disable item regen. problem solved, huh?
