  • Templar assassin psi blades hit stealthed broodmother

Exactly what the title says. This happened in match 296218373

Early game, the psi blades refracted to empty areas inside the webs. I'm assuming it hit either broodmother or her spiderlings. We had no wards in place, no gem, no dust.

    Is this supposed to happen?

And why? How is it that an attack extends to an enemy I can't see?

Just think about it, her psi blades shoot a thin line of 'energy', if you will, in a straight line through the target. Why'd you need vision of the target for this to impact?
That's like needing vision of a target in order for Powershot to damage it.

Arguably, being able to see the psi blade lines may be a graphical bug though. I think WC3 only shows an impact effect, and not the line effect, does it not? So you'd not be able to see the impact on an invisible target.

That's what I meant with 'only shows an impact effect, and not the line effect'.

So if the target isn't visible, the line effect shouldn't show, as in WC3 there is no indication that you just hit an invisible target, but there is in Dota 2.

Sorry, seemed like you said in wc3 it shows an impact effect on invis units but not a line.
