  • [Resolved] Queuing Huskar's Life Break and Ghost Scepter not working correctly?

Been testing support Husk build for awhile (don't ask) and I've encountered several weird things with queuing orders.
This is what I did in bot game:

    1. Ordered my hero to go near neutral creep camp
    2. As soon as I get into the line of sight with the creeps, I shift-queue life break to the nearest creep
    3. After the first queue, I shift-queued the Ghost Scepter

    ---
Result: After successfully landing Life Break on the closest creep, Ghost Scepter goes to cool down, but the Ghost Form isn't activated at all.

Expected: After successfully landing the Life Break on the closest creep, Ghost Scepter activates, and the creeps are unable to attack.
    ---

Activating Ghost Scepter manually right after Life Break seems to work as intended. Haven't tested Ethereal Blade yet.

What I've been trying to achieve with all this is to use Life Break to only damage the enemy and blink back to safety asap, so our carry could finish the enemy off.
If I would've take physical damage during the process, I could activate Ghost Scepter right after landing the blow,
so my Blink Dagger would get out of the 3 second penalty cool down after the hit, and I could blink back from danger.

During the flight of Life Break, Huskar is immune to magic, and magic immunity will remove the effect of Ghost Scepter,
so using the Ghost Scepter before Life Break would just put the item on cool down and remove the Ghost Form,
thus missing the whole point I'm trying to achieve.

Life Break makes you magic immune. Pretty sure that Ghost Scepter gets used during immunity and therefore automaticly dispelled (or rather, doesn't even work).
EDIT: Didn't see the last part. So what's your problem? I'm not sure if Huskar is intended to be able to use an item while Life Break "travells". If yes, intended behavior with Ghost Scepter too.
If you think I've closed or deleted a post unjustified, feel free to PM me and I'll explain it to you/discuss it with you further.

My problem is, that after the enemy actually takes the damage from Life Break, Huskar should immediately go into the Ghost Form (not while traveling), which doesn't happen at all with the queued Life Break + Ghost Scepter, but the item still goes to cool down right after the enemy takes the hit.

If I manually activate the item right after I'm able to move again after the blow has landed, the item works as intended and the creeps aren't attacking me.

That's how it should work. Why should shift-queuing wait until Life Break is finished? Life Break allows you to cast while travelling and shift-queuing uses the next skill as soon as possible. The same happens in Wc3.

Ah, thanks. Seemed to be the case here. I used my ulti on a creep, activated Ethereal Blade mid air and landed on the enemy damaging it and the creeps not being able to attack me, thus making it possible for me to blink away.

There still seems to be something off here...

If a creep is chasing me for awhile, turning back to the camp and I then Life Break the creep backing off, and queue blink dagger after the life break, the result would be me leaping at the creep and after landing to it, blinking to the designated spot, except me nor the enemy wouldn't take any damage. So here the queue waits till I've landed the hit correctly, but skips all the damage.

Blinking while traveling with the Life Break is still possible from mid air.

Blinking during Life Break should be possible, but only into the direction of Life Break (Blink Dagger would require it to turn, and you can't).
Life Break should then continue from the blink position and hit/damage normally.
EDIT: I didn't manage to shift-blink during Life Break. Sort of hard to test, could be my mistake, I'm not sure.

Tried to recreate this situation again too, but couldn't manage to do it. Going to test against human players now. Will post in later.

If you want an easy way to test. Use Wisp teleport skill. Wait till it hits 1 second then use lifebreak on wisp. Wisp will tp back to other end of map. And you have a long time of flying ^^
