  • [Resolved] About Force Staff

Now im not sure if this is intended or not.
I have found it is possible to turn while being force staffed leading to spells that are based on direction missing or failing if cast directly after for eg (Mirana leap , ShadowFeind Raze are the ones im most affected by)
For a long time in OG Dota i used a force staff instead of a blink dagger and do not recall this happening.
My pc is incapable of recording game play so i cant show u this with a video.

If this is intended i personally would like to see it changed as i for a very long time have used a force staff on hero's such as Mirana and ShadowFeind.

Yes you will change the direction you are looking to if u get attacked or have auto attack on immediately after the force staff ... Just go lobby WTF mode and staff around the map will not go in a straight line no matter how fast you use it ( even Shift commands ) .. Cant say if it was like that in dota1 cant remember ..
I used to be a mannered player but then i took a CYKA to the knee ! ValveKnights the new name for Scrub..

in dota1 you were also turning while staffing (I remember the freaking troll warlod in wtf, with staff, fire (red thing on his hand ^^) and smoke (from force staff) everywhere (and "circle" of fire and smoke around tower).

The hero is supposed to turn himself toward the direction of the last order you gave him (or that it gave to himself)

So if you rightclicked an unit, it will try to face that unit even during the force staff
Same if you clicked to move
And if no order were given, if your hero find a target in aquisition range, it will try to attack it and thus turn a bit (I don't remember thought how long last self given order in dota1 -mb till the target is out of aquisition range ?)

Anyway, it's totally normal that the hero turn himself. But there's mb some difference between dota1 and dota2, as I Still think there's something a bit different in turn rate in the two games
