In Dota 1 Earth Spike and burrow strike can be blocked if it was used directly on target. Using it on ground will not trigger linken sphere. In dota 2 it was changed to be always blocked by linkens. But if I Impale is only ground targeted spell it should not be blocked by Linkens.

It was changed so it always works on those, whether you target ground or unit. However, Impale can no longer be unit targeted since 6.79 so it shouldn't be blocked. If you read OP you wouldn't have asked this...

i think icefrog or valve just dont want to change it, as they may think impale in general is blockable by linken's sphere(ravage say hi).
and honestly, this could affect gameplay quite a lot in some situation, so r we forcing icefrog/valve to make balance change in excuse of "bug fix"? because afterall i think this is a very debatable "bug"

Like I said-if it wasn't unit-targetable before, I'm 100% sure it wouldn't be blocked. Linken's in Dota2 is probably coded in a way that you just change one boolean from true to false on a specific skill, and in this case that was forgotten. Breaking consistency isn't really a way to balance a hero, I doubt IF had this in mind.
