  • clicking and using active item simultaneously

guys i didnt know where to post this so ill do it here and i dont know if its a mechanic problem or its just me... when you go at fights or trying to escape and you are clicking around fast if you simultaneously try to use an active item from inventory with hotkey by pressing it twice for expample a healing salve it just wont work..you must first stop clicking and then use it... i know its not that important and its about the style of the player but at dota1 this was able to do it so it was saving you valuable time...

Well, the two hotkey clicks for the item should not be interrupted by other clicks. Did you mean that?

Did you know? Frantically clicking move order to an area does not make your hero move any faster, in fact it could actually slow you down because your hero is adjusting to the new destination with every click resulting in sometimes a bunch of small turns, instead of just running straight to the point?

And using hotkey twice to use item on yourself have a really short required time between the first hit of the key and a second hit to make it work now, so it shouldn't be that hard to click once, tap the item key twice, and continue frantic clicking again.

Yes, I am from HoN, and I really like the elegant way of pressing a key once, and then wait to give the next action as soon as it's required.

So what do I do now? Do I need to hammer stop-key constantly?
Not posting in the wrong thread would help.

There's an option in the game to turn off auto-attack, which would make your hero not shooting at things when you give them a move/stop order, but will shoot until everything is dead if you give them an attack, 'follow' (right click on allied unit) or attack-move order.

I kind of experience the same thing. I play storm a lot and when I do his static remnant I often walk away at the same time. Result: no static remnant. This is really annoying, I hope it will be fixed!

Yes but the goal here is to cast the spell and run away asap. This worked in D1, imo this should also be the case in D2. Gameplay isn't just as quick as it should be.

That might be spell related. I'd suggest you open a new thread for it. Has very little to do with the original thread purpose.
