  • Legion Commander Moment of Courage Multi Attack

    I am really unsure about how this skill is supposed to work, so i'm posting it here first.

    The reason i am posting this is, because i witnessed Moment of Courage proccing (read: seeing the animation and getting lifesteal) multiple times although it should be on cooldown, especially, but not limited to, if attacked by multiple heroes.

    Repro Steps:
    1. Pick Legion Commander and lvl him up to skill 4 points in Moment of Courage (probably not neccessary, just convenient because of the higher proc chance)
    2. Spawn e.g. windrunners as enemies
    3. Let the enemies attack LC and let LC attack one of the enemies

    Normal Animation:


    Double Attack (1/4th speed):

    If you look closely, you can see that the second animated Moment of Courage hit (with lifesteal) occurs while the skill is still visibly on cooldown
    (Sorry for the small gif size, didn't know any better method of creating those gifs and the website i used has a size limit)


    Normal Combat Log for one proc of MoC without LC attacking:

    How is this possible? Could it be that those are normal hits and they only get the extra Animation and Lifesteal, because the moment of courage buff is still up?
    Is this buff supposed to stay active after a successful hit? There is no mention of this buff on Playdota or in DotA2. It seems to have a fixed duration of 0.53 seconds.
    In the skill description it seems like only one hit should get this buff.

    My guess is that it now proc the counter hit and gives a 0.5s duration where she can proc more counters
    Every time someone make a false report.
    Making people's losses feel worse with just my name (don't ask me how it work, I certainly don't)

    Currently observed Orb(Unique Attack Modifiers), Critical, and Bash interactions for DotA2

      Will this be fixed? I just finished spectating a game and LC clearly got 2 hits every times it procced and 2 hits with 80% life steal every 1,2 seconds is just waaay to much. Almost invincible 1on1 unless you get lucky with proccs or have insane dmg to kill her fast.

        This is how it's supposed to work.

IF it was designed in this way then it clearly needs to nerfed and quite a lot.

            EDIT: wrong procc numbers
            It works this way in DotA 1, people complained while she was in the test client that the counterattack didn't give the second attack (which was a bug with the way it was programmed) significantly nerfing the amount of lifesteal and damage she did, and since Tresdin would be significantly worse than her DotA 1 version, the second attack happening was put into DotA 2 for parity purposes.
            To confirm, it isn't a second proc of moment of courage, but rather a second attack with lifesteal. It works this way because in War3 Dota, Moment of Courage was a +400 attack speed boost.

                  It wasn't a bug but it got nerfed to being only 1 hit in the next patch.
                  The world is black and white. On one side there are those who are right, complain about valve, spam unhelpfully and everyone who disapprove what you are doing are obviously valveknights.

                        when lc came to dota2 it was working exactly as it works after 6.80. people complained that the lifesteal was too weak compared to dota1 and they changed it to 1 additional hit + 0.5 sec lifesteal. the only think that was ugly was the tooltip
