  • Is it really intended for Broodmother to walk "off-map"?

I wanted to ask the devs of dota 2 is the broodmother walking off the map really intended?

I can understand her going over trees - but she can fly over ANY part of the map, even those that are unpathable to any other hero.

I don't need suggestions on how to counter broodmother... she can be ganked and killed as long as she is over trees, but as soon as she goes "off map" it is just IMPOSSIBLE to get to her.

Personally i can't believe that broodmother was allowed to be released with this "off map" pathing, but it has been SO LONG that i begun to worry could this HORRIBLE "off map" feature actually be intended?

1: There are tons of threads about this already, there is a search function.

2: Can you do it in Dota 1? If so then yes, it is intended. Any flying unit can fly over any part of the map (batrider for example).

I don't know about dota 1, i have not played it in years and i honestly don't care about it.

Regardless of the archaic dota 1 - the devs of Dota 2 should clearly state is the broodmother really intended to "walk off map" in Dota 2?

Well if you are going to ask questions like these then you should start caring right f*ing now cause a bug will be an inconsistency between wc3 dota and Dota2 so quickest way to know would be to look at the wc3 dota behavior...or the search function that was mentioned.
The world is black and white. On one side there are those who are right, complain about valve, spam unhelpfully and everyone who disapprove what you are doing are obviously valveknights.

Cliffs/trees do not mean "off the map", like being able to walk beyond the mountains surrounding the very edge of the dota 2's map in order to evade her pursuers.

Flying units shouldn't be able to go outside the map.

Can you provide some proof of it being accepted/recognized as a bug in Dota 2?

I tried searching the entire list of "known bugs in Dota 2" - but, unfortunately, i could not find any mention of brood going "off map"....

Or a quote from a developer, actually anything that can reliably prove this "off map" thing is a bug (or not a bug)...

                        I wasn't talking about Brood, I don't think she's flying under web's buff.

Broodmother now has completely unobstructed movement when under the web
i love frogs. one time while i was on vacation, a young boy started throwing rocks at a frog. i screamed "no!" and he stopped and ran. then i took the little green frog in my hands and protected it, because i love frogs

Unobstructed = can move freely on the map. Not outside the map.

If I`m not mistaken this was reported as a part of Batrider's bug. Apparently it's not bound to a particular skill, it's more of a core issue. If not for the obstacles on the edges of the map, every hero could walk outside of it.
