  • Maelstrom/Mjollnir and Linkens Sphere...

Really what the hell? Why does a RANDOM NON-TARGETTED chainlightning procs a shield that clearly states that it should be disabled only by TARGETTED spells? Yes it disables it even if it randomly jumped on you from some other target of mjoll user. What kind of logic is that to port bugs of dota 1 to dota 2 without even thinking? For gods sake get some common sense and make those random procs NOT disable linkens. We already have enough cr*p disabling it already.

Why is it common sense that a chain lightning that choses a new target after each bounce shouldn't trigger linkens?

Your reply makes me wonder why i live in a world full of imbeciles who actually have no common sense, yet keep using those words to hide their lack of intelligence...

Ah, instead of arguing and explaining your opinion you start flaming. That's the generation of the internet who wonders why no proper communication is possible.
I asked you a simple question. I'm not saying the logic is perfect, but understanding why is pretty damn easy.

Doesn't Zeus' ultimate and Furion's ultimate trigger it as well ? They're random as well...

Thundergod Wrath doesn't trigger it in Dota 2, don't know if it still does in WC3.

Hitting a target for 100% when the conditions are met is not random..

But what does Linken's have to do with randomness?

I think he meant to say that random abilities might (although not necessarily) be included for LS blocking, but when it is certain that it will hit you, it shouldn't. Which makes sense. Except for Nature's Wrath that needs vision... (though, if you count vision as randomness that theory falls, since you can just move your hero out of view)

Vision is not randomness. You don't randomly get or lose vision. And Wrath of Nature doesn't jump randomly. It's a chain lightning and as such always seeks for the nearest valid target.

Also, I don't know what randomness has to do with this.

Of course not ! I just meant you have no guarantee that an enemy will stay in your field of vision. (and thus not hit him with your ability - still irrelevant, I admit)

I think he assumes random abilities behave differently. To be honest, I am not 100% sure what LS should or shouldn't block either. I always assumed it blocks targeted spells, although it seems to block some AoE spells too. Guess the OP just wanted to add randomness as a third criteria.

It simply procs on every single target spell, Fissure, Earth Spike and Impale. Chain Lightning is a single target spell, no matter from where it comes from. Be it Zeus's Arc Lightning, or Maelstrom chain lightning. The jumps are also single target and, as I said multiple times already, they seek for the nearest target.

Could add burrowstrike for accuracy, no?
And Storm Bolt and Mana Void, perhaps. Not up to date on my knowledge for those interactions in Dota 2.

Storm Bolt and Mana Void are single target. It blocks Burrowstrike, too, just like the other 2 impales.
