  • Queued commands and backswings

Is it intended that actions which are queued up (either by shift key or automatically) have their backswing animations played in full?

The specific example is someone who queued up Diabolic Edict and Sheepstick, causing a 0.87 second delay on the Sheepstick, with game-losing results.

Is this behaviour intended? It's awful.

(When I say "automatic" queueing, this happens when you command something during a spell-cast which has not yet reached its cast point.)

Yes, queued commands to not cancel backswing, which is intended behaviour. You have to cancel it manually.

Doesnt matter if it was queued with SHIFT or "automatic" as you called it.

how can it be queued automatically?
Edit: Also, I think this is exactly how works in Warcraft III

If you cast and while that animations (before the backswing) is going you click another spell, for example if you are using ES and fissure and then use enchant totem during the animation, the full backswing of fissure will happen. Same for enchant totem into fissure. No shift queue is needed but it is "automatically" queued in.

^Fissure has no backswing. But yes, that's correct for spells with backswing.
