  • Gllimmer Cape not requiring hero to face target

So some of you may or may not have noticed that you do not require to face the ally you are casting Glimmer Cape on.

If you look at all the items that you are able to cast on allies (Force Staff, Mjollnir, Lotus Orb, Solar Crest, Medallion of Courage, Linken's Sphere, Diffusal Blade) they all require your hero to face the target to cast. So some of these items can be broken into categories in which you can cast them on enemy targets also, but the 3 other ally only cast-able items (Linken's Sphere, Lotus Orb & Mjollnir) all require your hero to face the ally being cast on.
The only other items that does not require your hero to face the target is Shadow Amulet (and some consumables).
This feels like an inconsistency in active casting items (on allies), Glimmer Cape is already very strong at the moment i'm sure this change would not hurt the item very much. Intended or?

Small correction. Bottle also behaves similarly. You can bottle a rune and bottle allies without facing their direction. Not sure how it is in WC3 Dota.

^ WC3, EVERY targeted spell requires facing.

However, in WC3, EVERY targeted spell also cannot be cast while channeling (well.. can, but it cancels)

In Dota2, the ones which do not cancel channelings upon cast act this way, which is bottle, shadow amulet and glimmer cape. I have no idea if it is intended this way. They are intended to not interrupt channeling spells, but should that also go for casting them on allies?
      Please, just call me buny.
