And that's a known bug. Techies is supposed to suicide first and then deal damage. Suicide Squad Attack is always supposed to be a proper suicide, but currently all kinds of damage returns or reflect (Blademail...) kills them:
[Conf] Kill given to enemy when using Suicide Squad, Attack! on necronomicon warrior.
If you think I've closed or deleted a post unjustified, feel free to PM me and I'll explain it to you/discuss it with you further.

It was fixed for Blademail, Carapace and Dispersion. Now only Last Will, Mjollnir's Static Charge and Aphotic Shield can kill him.

Wait, this was manually fixed without reverting the order? Just an exception in their code? Ugh. But well, lets at least hope the rest gets "fixed" too...

I guess they made suicide damage have the no-reflect flag which didn't affect the other spells. It also doesn't get amplified if techies is bloodraged because it gets treated like blademail damage.
Also, while testing I found a bug (maybe) with bloodrage where blademail damage is still amplified if the damage-receiver is bloodraged. So you can get 3x amplification instead of the old 4x.
Edit: Ok it's not a bug, changelog clearly mentioned only outgoing damage with no reflection flag.
