Forum Rules

    w3 dota: Barathrum uses Nether Strike immediately - no waiting, just only range is needed.

    Result: No matter what range (if cast range is ok), cast time is always the same.

    dota2: Barathrum waits till the spirit come to the target.

    Result: The longer range the spirit goes, the longer Bara waits for ulti effect.


    Excepted result: no "delay" for nether strike in dota2.

    I know, the explanation is not perfect, but I suppose u will get my point.

      I don't think that the longer it goes, the longer he waits. That's just part of the cast time, because even if you cast netherstrike on a unit in melee range, the shadow will move extremely slowly, it's all part of the 1 or 2 second cast time.

      If the target is further away, the spirit moves faster. Only reason it looks different is because it shows the shadow.

        The cast delay seems to be exactly the same every time despite the impression given by the spirit.

        The farther the target moves away during nether strike, the more the spirit will accelerate to catch up in order to ensure the delay remains the same. SB also seems to reappear exactly when he's supposed to, even if the spirit doesnt catch up in the end (ie, when nether striking a target that tp'ed away). I dont think there's anything functionally different.

          it is the same time, just as you see the spirit go it feels slower.
          A barathrum ultied on a teleporting unit, unit teleports away spirit starts to go in direction of fountain 1sec later barathrum hits the target in the fountain.
          Before posting a bug read the Bug posting guidelines first and check the Known Bugs list For existing bugs.
