Shift-queueing during Charge of Darkness doesn't work

    Summary:
    When playing Spirit Breaker, if one tries to shift-queue certain item actives during Charge of Darkness, the 'Charge' breaks.

    Repro:
    1. Pick Barathrum, skill Charge of Darkness, buy Medallion of Courage.
    2. Charge an enemy
    3. Shift-queue Medallion of Courage on the charge target (or nearby enemies, pretty sure it doesn't matter)
    4. Barathrum's charge will break, but he will continue running towards the enemy (to cast the Medallion effect)

    Result:
    Barathrum can't Charge enemies, and shift queue up commands (such as Medallion, or Netherstrike) to use after he arrives. It seems he can use non-targeted actives fine, activating Mask of Madness or Phase Boots doesn't break the charge. (attempting to shift-queue MoM or Phase causes them to just activate mid-charge instead of on arrival, tho)

    Expected: Barathrum should be able to shift-queue items like Medallion or skills like Netherstrike to use mid-charge, and they should be used after the charge finishes and he stuns the target.

    posted in the brainstorming section because I'm not 100% sure that the expected behavior is the way it works in WC3 DotA, but if Barathrum can't shift-queue during charge that strikes me as very peculiar.

    This bug is still present. Funnily, I got stuck in the trees when I tried to shift-queue ultimate during charge, only to discover it didn't work.

      There is no bug. Orders cancel the charge, doesn't matter if queued or not.

        Why is this not a bug??

        Shift que'ed orders should wait until the first command is complete before attempting to make any further command. This should be fixed/changed so that SB can shift-que things like attacking target or using ultimate after his charge lands.

          The exact same goes for TP's, spells, rotations, anything that isn't instant. It is not consistent.

            Charge of Darkness's effect is neither Channeled, Cast Durationed, nor Cast Delayed, and should not be consistent with such. It should be canceled by issuing any order to Spirit Breaker.

              if bane can shift queue during fiend's grip, i don't see why sb can't do it during charge

                  i don't see why charge should be canceled, it's just like channeling, it can be added to the list of things not stopped by shift queue

                        The charge itself isn't an order (it places a buff on the caster, just that), so shift-queue by design can't be used here.

                          I think Shift-que should support Charge of Darkness. If the problem is the shift-que system not recognizing charge correctly, then the system should be improved to function with it in a manner consistent with channeling spells.
