    Afaik, the only buff placer left (at least in its tooltip) is ranged eye of skadi. If it is, I wonder whether we still need the term "buff placer" in dota 2? Should we remove it like other former buff placers?

    There's Orb of Venom, which currently is considered an UAM in DotA2 as opposed to buff placer in DotA1.
    Every time someone make a false report.
    Making people's losses feel worse with just my name (don't ask me how it work, I certainly don't)

    Currently observed Orb(Unique Attack Modifiers), Critical, and Bash interactions for DotA2

      Oov's tooltip didn't mention it being a unique attack modifier. And what I meant is if ranged skadi is the only buff placer in dota 2 now, we should change it, to a UAM or whatever. No need to use the term "buff placer" to describe a specific (and the only) ability. It may confuse ppl.

          About OoV being an unique attack modifier....I am not sure if it is a Tooltip Issue (it doesn't say it is) or a Gameplay Bug (it is not supposed to be one).

            I agree with the premise of this thread. I haven't had the patience to work through the new (eleged) Orb/Buffplacer/Atackmodifier rules yet so while I can say that Oov does not stack with some abilities that it stacked with in DotA1, I don't know if that is because the ruleset is different (wrong?) or because Oov was intentionally changed along with its tooltip.
            In DotA1, some things didn't stack just because they didn't while now (I assume) they must be manually coded not to stack. While I'm usually in favor of keeping it close to the original, I feel like this might be a good chance to rework the rulesets that are unnessecarily complicated. It's too bad we can't really be productively working on this since we simply have no idea how those things are intended to work in D2 (meaning if the devs already made intentional changes to the system).

              at the momment oov is a uam. i played spectre today and bought oov and afterwards diffusal blade and only the oov effect proced. so they should fix oov or fix the tool tips
