  • Puck still having his mana drained by Invoker's EMP while in Phase Shift

    See title of thread:

    1. Use Phase Shift when EMP's mana drain takes effect
    2. Result: no damage is taken, but mana is still drained?

I asked a few people and they told me this is not supposed to happen, but I figured I'd check with the brainstorming section just to make sure.

Well, I can't say for sure, but EMP can hit invulnerable units in dota1 (cyclone'd) as long as the damage from it won't kill.

My guess is the difference occurs due to that in WC3 DotA, Puck is hidden as well and EMP probably doesn't check for hidden units.

With DotA2 Puck probably is 'only' invulnerable so EMP ends up affecting him.
Every time someone make a false report.
Making people's losses feel worse with just my name (don't ask me how it work, I certainly don't)

Currently observed Orb(Unique Attack Modifiers), Critical, and Bash interactions for DotA2

    To:
People who cry MM isn't fair: Maybe you're not as great as you make yourself to be.
People who wants surrender: It exists, but I'm not teaching you how to do it.

In WC3 Dota, phase shift does not make puck a hidden unit. It makes puck invisible with zero fade time and also gives invulnerability and marker. EMP doesnt affect puck because of marker.

But roflcat is right about puck seeming to only become invulnerable in Dota 2 and hence would be affected by EMP. There are quite a number of marker related issues in Dota 2 =/

      Before posting new bugs:
-Check the Known Bugs List and search the forum for an existing report.
-Make sure its a bug (test in WC3 Dota, visit playdota guides and adv. mech, etc). If you're still not sure, post in Mechanics and Gameplay Bug Brainstorming instead.
-Read the Bug Posting Guidelines on how to report a bug properly.

I thought it was hidden. But in any case, it shouldn't work.

Yes, you'd think it would be since its the most logical way to form the skill. But phase shift is originally a ladder spell that is just invis so...yeah.

Noticed the same with EMP draining mana through Morphling's Wave Form. Not sure how that was supposed to interact in Dota1.
