    if they're not going to make it undoable, they should at least fix it visually so that the hook extends across the map and it doesn't just look like the hero is flying randomly

    also, maybe add an achievement for hooking > 3000 distance :P

      It's easily countered by timed Euls(or any disable, really). So, I wouldn't consider this "abuse", maybe balance issue.

            I would be for this. I'm all for fun combos but this feels abusive.

              This is a feature that should be kept. Why? Because it's not that easy to pull off. How often do you see this? In over 300 MM games this never happened (although it did once in Inhouse games).

                i think this is so lame man. I mean, if we try to imagina that in DOTA 2 world it would be impossible because the hook got 901240480132 times bigger to pull it to the fountain, and also the hook dissapear after it is pulled more that hook original size. I think they can just make a slight edit and make it just pull the hook entire size (instead pulling it back to the fountain)

                    Assuming this was reopened due to controversy over its abuse in competitive scene.

                    --> Really should be removed or remodeled like Dota1 version which was almost impossible to pull off (And you had to use heroes like wisp or kotl). Chen Pudge hook in Dota2 is not only easy to pull off but its also cheap, and you cannot escape since it bugs the hook and a full 3 second stun or so is applied after you are pulled

                      Honestly: it's NOT that easy to pull of. The competitive scene had it happen from one team where the enemy completly failed.
                      Whenever I see it in a pub, ~1 out of 20 hooks hits with the remaining 19 resulting in Pudge being back in base, not getting XP or gold and unable to participate in fights. Fountain hooking is fine.

                        One chance out of 20 to win a teamfight, it's almost like kunka 1 chance out of 16 to crit twice on tidebringer to win the team fight.
                        but you don't need gold for it, and you can do it before the teamfight really occur.


                        And there's many safe way in coordinated team to pull it off, dag stun, get forcestaff back by an ally; hook it

                        There's something pretty simple to do, the dragged unit cann't move more than 1500 (2000?) range while hooked.

                        That be pretty similar to rupture/impetus/flaming lasso etc....

                              I would love for DotA 1 hooks to return. Being Fountain-hooked is nigh rage-inducing, but being hit by a good curved hook from Pudge is cool and takes some skill.

                                If you do it near one of your tower, pudge is back in 3-7 sec, if you do it near enemy base, you just have to run back till pudge come back, you'll do this combo before fight really happen in that case, and then you have a 5v4 pushing scénario
