  • Critical Hit Damage not displaying properly

I recently produced a couple of guides about how damage mechanics work with regards to spell damage and auto attack damage, and posted them to reddit.

One thing that I noticed which seemed unusual is that when the red damage numbers appear over enemies heads while dealing damage.
    • The numbers for magic damage are accurate to the damage dealt to the hero, after spell resistance has been accounted for.
    • The numbers for crit damage are the number before armour has been accounted for.

This is inconsistent and confusing, I would suggest that crit numbers are changed to represent the actual damage dealt.

In Dota2 they do present actual damage dealt. Hit a unit with 1 armour, then hit a unit with 10 armour and you'll see the difference
