      Linkens description should be changed to: "Blocks 1 enemy spell every 20 seconds".
      + 1 to IF.

          I posted in this thread ages ago, but I figured I'd voice my opinion again which is that I preferred the old Linken's to this one. I suppose it is a different dynamic in Dota 2 though, seeing as Burrowstrike, Fissure etc. are not hero targettable in the first place, so you'll always be going for the "skill shots". I don't see why so many skills are no longer targettable, is there any chance one of the devs could comment on this, as to whether or not its a permanent change?

            happend with mirana's arrow windrunner had a likens and i arrowed that kid from a mile away and it proc'd but by that time i had already leaped in and by that time it was too late i was dead

                Linkens is underpowered item, u don't see it anywhere but in pubs, and won't see anywhere, cos of it's horrible buildup and being unreliable in teamfights, so i don't see a reason to nerf it. It would be better if more aoe skills would be actually blocked imho.

                  Linken's is not an underpowered item, it is a highly situational item. Linken's can block superior single target spells like roar, which the stun would go through magic immunity but not the damage, whilst linken's can block it the stun. Linken's is also a great survivability item though people don't really get it unless it's part of its core build [atleast in pubs].

                  suggestion: how about a mechanical fix where linkens would have something like the property of a salve? Like there is a minimum requirement of damage before it can cancel a spell, though I think doing this would just counter urn of shadows or highly improbable under-leveled dps skills [e.i. hellfire blast]

                    That also counts for Hook and Arrow, and afaik both spells always have been blocked by Linken's Sphere.

                      Should not block Wrath of Nature, imo. Still blocks. Nuff said.

                        In the name of consistency it either needs a drastic rework (i.e. to block only stuns like someone else said) or it should just block any spell. I think blocking any spell is probably a nerf given how easy it would be to pop, but right now its just a random list of spells it works on and random one it doesnt. Not good.

                          I like that it is intended, that makes the gold totally worth. But that item is still bugged and I don't know if I should open a new thread for that, so I post that here:

                          spells that won't blocked by Linkens:

                          -Venomancers Venomous Gale
                          -Barathrums Charge of Darkness

                          -Huskars Life Break partially blocked (but in DotA 1 even the charge!)

                            This is not really a buff to linkens tho. Because, for instance, if sandking or lion targeted u with burrow or impale, respectively, and ur linkens was active and there were 4 other heroes near u, the spell would be absorbed and not activate. Now, it stuns the other 4 heroes, but not you. I do not see how this can be strictly called a buff. It is simply a rebalancing and I like it. I think it makes linkens a more viable item whereas it was really only useful on maybe morph, weaver, qop in most games (plz don't give me a detailed list of exceptions to this; I'm aware they exist).

                                There are enough targeted spells and potential cancels for linkens i wouldn't mind seeing it block any 1 spell for the carrier every whatever the cd is seconds
