  • [Unconfirmed] Gyro's flak canon issue

    • [wrong] --->[the bug is actually that we cann't hit cata with flak canon]
    First of all, the aoe (800) look likes more of 600 (I created a game spawned creeps until a cata came, then i waited that a cata hit to me at MAX RANGE, i holded position until some creep came, activated flak canon, and surprised, i wasn't able to hit the cata, and in going a bit forward (mb 100 range) I still wasn't able to hit him with the flak. (I think cata's range is something around 700 don't remember thought)
    -I tested it in dota (1) and catas where by so much in the flak canon range-

    Second, the "pause time" during the cast of flak canon is WAY TOO LONG, and is unshortable contrary to dota. Indeed after testing in dota with travel +5 hyperstone, i was able in spamming attack click to shorten the casting time by so much that it was bearly noticeable on the delay between attack. In dota 2 even with no ias item you are paused for so long that it's noticeable even at level 1 with no item. (Not to mention that if you cast flak canon while running it stops you from running for at least 0.5 sec, even in spam clicking to move -once again contrary to dota (1) )

    And last (this time not about flak canon) I'm almost 100% sure that the turn rate of gyro isn't fast enough (in dota it was just so fast that even under sticky napalm of bat rider he had a turning rate about as fast as other heroes who aren't under the napalm). Mb it's just his bigger flying machine that make me fell that way, and I don't know how to test it.

    [s]To 1: You can't hit catapults with flak, it works only on organic units[/s]
    To 3: turnRate=0.6, that's pretty normal.

      In dota1 we could hit catapults, so it's still a bug

          We definitly can, i tested it 30 sec ago, gyro was my main in dota also, so i remember perfectly that, just wait till i find how to upload a replay here and you'll see

              To 3: Gyros turnrate definetely feels a lot slower. Played a few games with him in both D1 and D2, its not even close.

                gyro's turn rate and missle speed feels alot slower for me too.

                  For the missle, it seems ok after some few testing, (casted at max range on immobile target, and it seems to be same time) but i still found a minor bug on it, in dota2 if click the missile, you cann't check it's level, in dota1 you can see it's level

                  For the turnrate, i indeed still feel it is slower than in war3, but I'm not able to test it (I don't know how to check the time, for such low windows time).

                    you could try to figure something out using napalm.

                      but according to some thread napal turn rate reduction seems bugged (And i personnaly also feel that it is why batrider is so weak in dota2) or mb it's not turn rate reduction which is bugged but the way how heroes turn now, anyway, it seems more true to check without the iteration of napal, but for that, we need a comparaison image per image, like some1 did for attack speed some week ago
