I don't remember in dota 1 times if this was possible, but a friend of mine tried this some days ago to frustating results...
He tried to cast ult + iluminate (refresh) + iluminate again, but when trying to cast the second iluminate it would release the first one instead.... is this a bug? or is it intended?
I think keeper should be able to use refresher orb because, why not?

One hotkey can make two diffirent reactons. 1st cast activates skill (illuminate), and the 2nd one throws it before challenling ends.
It's was just like so in dota1.

well, yeah.... the only solution would be add a different hotkey to release only, like pucks illusory orb.

Yea, thats correct, but in diffirence to puck, Ezalor have no slot left as his ultimate gives him two extra skills.

Hero can obviously have as much skills as you want (engine allows to) but hereos had up to 6 skills in wc3 dota and i don't think valve will change it (as it actually isn't a, let's say "big deal"), so I guess we gonna need to live with that ;/
