Thanks all. I thought Fatal Bonds is a bug since it deals 20% of the damage dealt, and some damages are high so it made sense in my head that it'd actually cancel them

In D1 all stacks are individuell ticks so they still could not cancel anything, because 16<20. in D2 consumables get canceled if the stacks amount together for more than 20 dmg. Bug found ;-) Tested Both, guess will open a new thread for this.Last edited by Belarion; 09-20-2012, 06:47 AM.

20 magic damage per tick, BEFORE the reduction (general reduction is 25%). So stryg first spell would cancel salves etc

As for other spells, I think the threshold for cancelling is 20 damage. If the spell deals less damage than that, it won't cancel the consumable.

DOT abilities that don't cancel healing\mana potions
Are there any DOT (damage over time for those of you tired) abilities that don't cancel mana potion or healing salve effects ?
I know Fatal Bonds is not a "real" DOT ability, but I'll include it.
I ask because I saw Fatal Bonds and Alchemists acid don't stop these potions.
I haven't play D1 so I don't know if they should... should they ? And also, are there any DOT abilities that don't cancel them ?
To me this seems a bug since normally, any damage you encounter should (and normally does) cancel their regen.Tags: None
