So, since his hook has chains and he pulls those chains towards him, make sense to go where he pulled it, not where he is.
(I don't know if I stated it correctly, but...)
Do that, and the object you have pulled will land far behind the spot you have initially pulled it. Not to the point where you pulled it.

And, that is a completely false example.
In your example, you are just applying force to the rope. Pudge, however, hurls and winds back his chains with a hook attached to its end.
Like winding the rope on a fishing rod.

Actually, I liked that idea of yours. Maybe, IceFrog can make a new skill to a new hero like that, where that hero throws a rope with something at its end that latches to the enemy, and pulls it back with a great initial force, that the enemy lands to the spot point-symmetrical to the hero that used the skill.
    Something like this:

Do this... hold a yo-yo in your hand... throw it out and pull it back, tell me where it ends up.

If the answer is "back in my hand." then you understand why I'm suggesting that Pudge's target should pull to him regardless of where he walks/moves to.

He DOES, I don't see what you're arguing here... The target gets pulled straight onto pudge no matter how far he travels, I.e. test of faith/wisp hook... I don't see your point?

NO, it doesn't!... If I hook someone, but walk to the side a bit, the target will be where Pudge WAS, not where Pudge is walking to. THAT"S my point. If the target always "magnetized" to Pudge, then I wouldn't have started this thread in the first place.

Sometimes I land a hook but had already assumed I didn't so I start walking to reposition myself, but it turns out I DID land the hook, so the target will be pulled back to the point where the hook was successfully made, NOT where Pudge has relocated to. Now do you see what I'm saying?

Ok, I think he is right. I can't do the Chen-PudgeHook thing. I also couldn't do it with Glimpse-PudgeHook. Has this been fixed?

Edit: Tried some more. It always Hooks the target to the spot Pudge was, when the Hook meets the target. So it is like deejaybos said. You CAN hook enemies to the fountain with Chen-Pudge combo, but in order to do that, your hook must meet the enemy after you have been TPed back to base with ToF.

in dota 1 its possible to do wisp and pudge combo same with kotl and pudge combo but its very hard to learn it
in dota 2 it still works very easy you just need to time it correctly and u will get it

Alright, this is probably what was confusing me, because it definitely wasn't taking it back to exactly where it was thrown from. This isn't widely different to WC3 then, and it wasn't really an issue in WC3...
