  • Undying's Flesh Golem damage amplification

I need clarification on the mechanic used for Undying's damage amp.

Under normal circumstances, Pure damage is neither reduced nor increased by Magic resistance/ Magic amplification

Here is an example, Tinker uses Laser on Lion. The listed 320 damage is dealt.
Veil of Discord is then used on Lion prior to the second Laser.
Laser still deals the listed 320 damage regardless of Veil's Magic amp.

Now we have Undying in his Flesh golem form beside Lion.
Laser is used again, this time it deals increased damage of 416 damage.

Possible bug, or is Flesh golems damage amp different then Magic amplification?

Flesh golem, Dispersion, Soul Catcher, Penitence, Mana Shield, Mask of Madness, Orchid... All of these skills reduce/increase damage dealt by pure-damage instances (as well as physical, enhanced, universal, magic, mixed...).

The only kind of damage that doesn't interact with them is HP removal.

But I assume you were confused because you thought flesh golem only amplified regular magic damage. That's not the case, it interacts with all kinds of actual damage.

Adding to that be careful with penitence if you choose to do further testing as it does a second physical damage instance and so the results from it can be quite different to others.

And Orchid is magical, and it's dealt at the end of the duration. Yeah, should have warned regarding tests. Also Soul Catcher is Pure, so things like Mana Shield and Dispersion can reduce it further. On the other hand, Flesh Golem*, Sprint and MoM is not reduced (other than reduction on the original source of damage).
        *Not completely sure.
