i checked it several times last game, his passive is definitly not reseting to 0 if you kill your target. since it was meant to reset in dota1, i am unsure if this is a really cruel bug or intended. Or am i mistaken and the stat change is only reseting for the one dying, with the other one keeping the bonus loss and it works like this in dota1 aswell?

maybe use common sense? if slark hits a target 20 times gaining + 60 agi and the target dies, then he will lose the stat bonuses because that target died so all the hits were for nothing? ye that seems right...

the one who died will be reborn with full stats but slark keeps the bonuses

another thing i realized about essence shift is that slark loses the bonus on death but his opponent doesnt gain back the stolen stats? not sure it's a bug but that doesnt seem right does it? so slark jumps you and you kill him you still stay on -20 strength?

The wording on the description can be confusing but basically, you only reset YOUR stacks(regardless of wether it's positive stacks if you're slark or negative stacks if you're the enemy) when YOU die. Slark dying doesn't reset his target stacks and the target dying doesn't reset Slark stacks.
