Phase Shift triggers off EVERYTHING.

  • Phase Shift triggers off EVERYTHING.

In Dota1, autocast Phase Shift is limited to automatically dodging only spells that do damage before a stun happens. In most cases, this means that autocast Phase Shift will not save you from a stun, only manual cast will.

In Dota2, not only does autocast Phase Shift dodge any kind of stun (tested with Fissure), it even automatically dodges spells that don't do any damage (tested with Shackle Shot). This obviously makes it far more powerful.

Is this intended, due to the Dota1 behavior being an engine limitation, or is this an oversight? If it is, should it be nerfed?

Why, seems a bit imbalanced, I hope it goes back to the old ways.

Seems like going around dota1 engine limitations to me. But might require rebalancing the hero somewhat..

I think it's a bug. Bubbles' Take Cover in HoN works exactly like Puck's Phase Shift in Dota 1: autocast can avoid damage, but not stuns.

It's probably going to be fixed soon.

                  It also dodges Doom.

really? but how u mean u cast it before he uses doom on u? Because u cant use any items skills while doomed.

Bubbles is identical to his DotA counterpart, phase was kept as is, because it promotes player skill.

Grants invulnerability to all damage for duration of channel.
Can be toggled to auto-cast by right clicking. When set to auto-cast, this skill will automatically be used when Bubbles takes non-DOT damage, preventing that damage from being dealt.
The automatic use will not trigger if Bubbles becomes stunned or silenced.

We're talking about Puck's third skill, not about Phase Boots.

It for sure didn't work on absolutely everything in original dota, but it does here and its quite imba. Automatically blocking stuns are hilarious especially fissure. Probably needs to be reduced, its op if abused.

The other thing is this completely kills any motivation to manually use it, something you don't really want.

despite the functionality i never have this on autocast for several reasons, so you're wrong there
