  • About Troll Warlord Bash Stack

Hello I've read in the patch notes but I didn't understand correctly, why is skull basher is disabled on Troll (I've never played dota1 sorry), also I notice that is disabled for faceless void as well, was it always like that or did they introduce now?

    And why did they disable?

Thanks in Advance for any explanation.

basher doesnt work on heroes with natural bash skill. it used to work but icefrog changed it a long time ago to prevent easy perma-stun(that's what i think at least)

Only thing i can't understand why they restricted basher/abyssal for these heroes. Stats and AB stun (that goes through BKB!) could worth buying them in some games. Why not just disable bash stacking like in d1? Maybe it's bit harder (in coding) than just item restriction, but i don't think it's enough to be a good reason.

If I have to guess: They're trying to find alternatives.

From what I understand, dota 1 basher have these:
-Check for hero that have natural bash (though I'm not sure if in case of Troll it means "Troll Warlord" or "Troll Warlord - Melee" that it check for)
          -Roll 25% chance
If said roll proc, give the hero 100% bash for one attack
          Remove bash after that attack

In particular, the check for hero each time isn't a huge burden while it's a LAN game of dota1, but in a server-based dota2 that little burden can adds up (not to mention to roll that check in a game without hero who have natural bash is a bit silly)
So I think they're trying to find a way that the item doesn't have to have that little check each time while still prevent those heroes from having the bash.

My suggestion: Have a 'bash-less' version of the items and turn it into that when those heroes wield it (kinda like the courier version of gems or range/melee version of quelling blade)
Every time someone make a false report.
Making people's losses feel worse with just my name (don't ask me how it work, I certainly don't)

Currently observed Orb(Unique Attack Modifiers), Critical, and Bash interactions for DotA2

          To:
People who cry MM isn't fair: Maybe you're not as great as you make yourself to be.
People who wants surrender: It exists, but I'm not teaching you how to do it.
